MINOT, N.D. — Remodeling of the Ward County Courthouse in Minot is essentially complete, with a certificate of occupancy issued this week.

The Minot Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/2rfP0nX ) that the work was projected to cost about $3.7 million, and the final cost is expected to be about $300,000 under that.

Meanwhile, work is proceeding on a separate project to construct a jail expansion. The jail construction and proposed remodeling on the existing jail is the final phase of county building construction, which included a new office building that opened at the end of 2015.
