BILOXI, Miss. — Two commercial fishing seasons in Mississippi are closing.

Officials with the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources say the commercial season for Spotted Seatrout will close at 11:59 p.m. Thursday in Mississippi territorial waters. The season will reopen at 12:01 a.m. Thursday, June 1.

The commercial season for King Mackerel will close at 12:01 p.m. Sunday, May 21, in Mississippi territorial waters. The season will reopen at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, July 1.
