Colton Sullivan of Columbus won the Super Stock feature event May 13 at Twin Cities Raceway Park in Vernon. The track resumed its season after three consecutive rainouts.
Marty Cooper of Franklin was second, and Jaden Mayhan of Elizabethtown was third. Completing the top five were Lindsay Wade of Nashville and Scott Beeler of Louisville.
Randy Petro of Columbus stood on the podium after winning the Pure Stock feature. Mark Bruce of Commiskey finished second. Tory Routier of Edinburgh was third, with Corebin McRoberts of Dupont fourth and Donnie Wilson of North Vernon taking fifth.
Jeremy Owens of North Vernon won his third straight Modified feature event at Twin Cities after a spirited battle for several laps with North Vernon’s Bryson Clark. Jacoby Hines of Nineveh slipped by Clark for second. Clark was third, with John Jackson of Lexington, Kentucky, coming in fourth. Dennis Roberson, also of Lexington, claimed fifth.

Cody Perry won over a stout field of Hornet division competitors. Austin Perry was second, with Zack Burton of Edinburgh third. Tony Napier of North Vernon and Jason McRoberts rounded out the top five drivers.
Brad Barrow of Bloomington won his second Crate Late Model feature of the year. Barrow drives a car owned by Roe Dale Burton of Edinburgh. Trailing Barrow across the finish line were Jeremy Hines of Seymour, Chad Stapleton of Edinburgh, Matt Bex of Avoca and Austin Burns of Morgantown.

Brownstown back on track
After not racing for four weeks due to weather conditions and a scheduled off week, Brownstown Speedway will return to racing action tonight. On the docket is a $1500 Modified special, plus the Indiana Pro Late Models, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, and MMSA Mini Sprints. Gates open at 3 p.m. today.For more info, visit brownstownspeedway.com.
Let’sRaceTwo at Eldora
Current AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car Series points leader Justin Grant won the May 12 opener of the LetsRaceTwo weekend at Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Dallas Hewitt was second, with Kevin Thomas Jr. taking third. Former Elizabethtown resident Chase Stockon was fourth, with Thomas Meseraull taking fifth.The next night, Robert Ballou made a successful return to the cockpit by winning the main event. Ballou, who sat out most of last season after a serious neck injury, outdueled Chris Windom, Brady Bacon, Justin Grant and Tyler Courtney for the victory.
The World of Outlaw Craftsman Sprint Car Series also raced at Eldora last weekend, with Logan Schuchart winning May 12 and Donny Schatz driving for Tony Stewart Racing winning the main event May 13. On Sunday at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Parker Price-Miller won his first career WoO main event.
Paragon hosts opener
One of the last tracks to open its season got a race in the books on May 13 when Paragon Speedway played host to its first race of the season. Winners were Travis Welpott (Sprints), Winston Howe (Super Stocks), Jacob Ham (Bombers) and Owen Cosman (Hornets).
King of TQ’s races at last
UMRA King of the TQ Midgets completed its first show since racing in Florida in February. The series was at U.S. Speedway in Logansport on May 13. Jason Goff won the feature event. He was followed by Nick Speidel, Robbie Roland, Aaron Percell and Callie Wolsiffer. The series heads to Montpelier Speedway tonight for an event.
Lawrenceburg runs again
After several weeks battling the weather, Lawrenceburg Speedway ran a complete show without any weather concerns on May 13. Second-generation racer Dickie Gaines of Mitchell won the 410 Non-Wing Sprint Car feature event. Jon Stanbrough of Avon finished in second, with defending track champion Jarett Andretti of Indianapolis coming home in third. Columbus native J.J. Hughes, who now resides in Terre Haute, was fourth, and Shawn Westerfeld of Guilford was fifth.Kyle Herbert of Greensburg won his second Modified feature of the season. Joe Kramer of Hanover chased Herbert across the finish line. Scotty Kincaid of Rising Sun was third, with Broc Burton of Columbus and Kyle Schornick of Milan rounding out the top five.
Gage Clark took home the top honors in the Hornet class. Cordell Moore was second, and Tyler McGhee finished in third. Completing the top five were Adam Love and Destin Grout.
The Lawrenceburg Pure Stock main was won by Don Grace over his son, Jonathan Grace. Chris Combs, Chris Walterman and Andrew Carroll trailed the winner.
