Astronomy program planned at Jackson County library

Astronomer and speaker Kevin Manning will talk about “The Universe in 2017: An All-American Total Solar Eclipse” from 2 to 4:30 p.m. June 11 at the Jackson County Public Library, 303 W. Second St., Seymour.

An astrophysicist and former consultant to NASA, Manning takes his astronomy programs to people across the country, sharing explorations of the universe, the stars and other celestial wonders. The program topic anticipates the total solar eclipse that will occur in the U.S. on Aug. 21.

This program is limited to people 8 years of age and older.
