Rumpke Waste & Recycling will offer curbside recycling for its customers throughout Jackson County starting June 1.
Residents receive every-other-week collection and a 65-gallon cart for $5 a month, according to a news release from Jonathan Kissell, Rumpke communications manager. Residents must use Rumpke trash service to receive curbside recycling.

Accepted items for recycling include:
- Cardboard boxes and clean pizza boxes
- Glass bottles and jars
- Aluminum cans
- Plastic bottles and jugs
- Paperboard, like cereal boxes
- Office paper and envelopes
- Newspapers, magazines, catalogs and inserts
- Steel cans and lids
- Cartons for milk, broth, juice boxes and wine
Unacceptable item that pose safety risks for employees and damage sorting equipment include:
- All plastic bags, including single-use grocery bags and trash bags
- Tanglers, like garden hoses, dog leashes, belts and extension cords
- Metals, like pipes, bars, cooking pots/pans and auto parts
- Clothing, blankets and bed sheets
- Hazardous items, like batteries, needles and pressurized tanks
