St. Peter’s Lutheran Ladies Aid gathers

The St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Ladies Aid met May 4 in the parish hall of the Brownstown church.

The meeting opened by singing the hymn “Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty.”

For devotions, Kathy Cunningham gave a reading entitled “Gentle Shepherd.”

Ten members answered roll call. The secretary and treasurer reports were read and approved.

Joyce Stuckwisch reported on the sale of spices and will put it in the bulletin for a reminder.

Ileen Nehrt reported on all of the sick and shut-in people she visited. Rose Elmer visited several people in the nursing homes.

Cunningham reported on the altar flowers. The Easter lilies will be planted by the church.

Stuckwisch reported on the Lutheran Community Home April birthday party. The entertainment was well received.

A thank you went to the hostess, Elmer.

The meeting closed with the Lord’s Prayer.
