SEYMOUR

Edith Marie Durham, 82, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.

Born Feb. 7, 1935, in Glasgow, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Harry and Bertha Fishburn Huddleston, both of whom preceded her in death. In 1956, she married Clarence E. Durham, who passed away May 30, 2016.

She was a member of Easyville Pentecostal Church and loved the Lord. One would say that she loved to work and stay busy, as she worked for Arvin Industries for seven years, and then spent 20 years at Taylon. She then went to Sylvania for 18 years and retired after eight years with Jay C Foods Plus. She was an awesome cook and loved being with her friends. Her life was surrounded with her family, friends and church.

She was very blessed with a wonderful family, which included four children, Don Huddleston, Shelia Maiden, Debbie Terrell and Terri Foster; six grandchildren, Chad Huddleston, Amy Lowe, Tessia Salsman, Michelle McClintock, Jason Foster and Danny Foster; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gene (Jean) Huddleston, Noah Huddleston and Doug (Bridgett) Huddleston; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie Piper and Dorothy Jesse; two brothers, William “Bill” Huddleston and Edward Huddleston; and a grandson, Josh Huddleston.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Voss & Sons Funeral Service with the Rev. Jean Pogue officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday.

Memorials may be made to Easyville Pentecostal Church or Hoosier Christian Village.
