A certified financial planner and chartered retirement planning counselor with MainSource Bank in Seymour recently was awarded the accredited investment fiduciary designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies.

Galen D. Krumme had to complete a training program, including a final examination, and agreement to abide by the code of ethics and conduct standards, according to a news release from the Greensburg-based bank.

This designation from the center signifies specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care.

The center is the standards-setting body for fi360, a Pennsylvania firm that provides fiduciary scores and training programs and software to financial service providers.

Krumme, a Seymour resident, is a financial adviser for MainSource’s Raymond James Financial Services and assists clients in their planning of short- and long-term financial goals.
