The Immanuel Lutheran Guild had its spring party May 2 in the fellowship hall of the Seymour church.

Chairwoman Sharon Toppe welcomed members and guests.

The tables were decorated with aqua blue tablecloths with burlap table runners. Each table had mason jars decorated with burlap, spring bouquets and yellow dinner mints. The group enjoyed a pitch-in meal.

The speaker for the evening was Cindy Claycamp. She is the author of “Quilts Reflecting the Poetry of James Whitcomb Riley.” She showed a variety of quilts and spoke about the history of quilts.

Bookmarks with crosses were given as favors. Norman Pollert won the door prize, a wall hanging.

Hostesses for the evening were Toppe, Betty Chastain, Arlene Rieckers and Mary Lou Stockamp.
