Panthers edge Owls

In their final dual meet of the season, Seymour fell to Jennings County 180-172 at St. Anne’s Golf Course.

The Owls’ Tyler Bullard was medalist on the afternoon, shooting a five-over-par 40.

Tom Hoffmeier carded 49 strokes, Brantley Adams shot 52, Noah Beaty scored 49 and Mason Pottschmidt had 66 for the Owls.

On Friday, Seymour will compete at the Bloomington North Sectional on Indiana University’s course.

Cougars, Braves compete in invitational

BEDFORD

Trinity Lutheran and Brownstown Central played one last 18-holes tournament before the postseason at Otis Park Golf Course on Tuesday.

Combining for 333 strokes, Trinity placed third. Brownstown Central totaled 364 strokes for seventh.

Bedford North Lawrence’s ‘A’ team topped the field with 292 strokes.

Cory Stuckwisch led Trinity with a three-over-par 75. Drew Royalty shot 82 for the Cougars, followed by Jonathan Keith (87), Chad Stuckwisch (89) and Skyler Stahl (96).

Gavin Bane was low for Brownstown, shooting 87. Chanler Fleetwood totaled 88, Brayton Hattabaugh 92, Sam Huber 97 and Adam Pottschmidt 109 for the Braves.

Trinity will play a round at Champions Pointe today in Henryville, and Brownstown completed their regular season.

Both teams will play in the IU sectional on Friday morning.
