The public is invited to see some of the wonders of the Earth during the Lawrence County Rock Club’s annual gem, mineral and fossil show June 23, 24 and 25 at the Lawrence County 4-H Fairgrounds on U.S. 50 west of State Road 37.

The show, which is more than 50 years old, is free and open to nature lovers, scholars, fossil enthusiasts, gem and jewelry fanciers and children.

A wide variety of geometric mineral specimens, fossils — remains of most ancient life, gems and other geologic marvels will be on display and available for purchase.

Those planning to attend can meet experienced mineral and fossil collectors who can explain all aspects of collecting and watch geology demonstrations. There also will be silent auctions.

Food service is available, and the main building is air conditioned.
