Astronomer to speak about universe

Astronomer and speaker Kevin Manning will speak about “The Universe in 2017: An All-American Total Solar Eclipse” from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Jackson County Public Library, 303 W. Second St., Seymour.

An astrophysicist and former consultant to NASA, Manning takes his astronomy programs to people across the country, sharing explorations of the universe, the stars and other celestial wonders.

The program topic anticipates the total solar eclipse that will occur Aug. 21 in the United States.

This program is limited to people 8 and older.
