All Seasons Garden Club

All Seasons Garden Club recently met at the home of Julie Ballard.

Ballard and co-hostess Jeanette Chastain served quiche, salads, rolls and an array of desserts.

President Veronica Bowling led the business meeting.

Becky Hackman recently worked in the gardens at Lutheran Community Home and reported the roses and perennials looked great.

Rita Wischmeier circulated fliers for the Happy Glamper event featuring retro and vintage campers.

Plans were made for a club outing to Madison on June 10.

Hackman ask members to save Dec. 9 for the annual Christmas party. It will include lunch at Stream Cliff Farm near Commiskey and a tour of Betty and Gerald Manning’s home. A special feature of the 1836 home will be a mural of the history of Stream Cliff Farm with a decoration theme, “It’s a Santa Christmas.”

Door prizes of garden ornaments were won by Connie Lovins and Kathy Rush. Each member went home with a miniature succulent planted in an eggshell cup.
