Nature Play Day will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, 12985 E. U.S. 50, Seymour.

Nature Play Days are a project of the Indiana Children and Nature Network and are locally sponsored by the Muscatatuck Wildlife Society, the nonprofit refuge friends group.

The goal of Nature Play Day at Muscatatuck is to connect children with nature by leading youngsters in outdoor play activities.

Activities for children during the day will include investigations of aquatic wildlife in a pond, mud painting, a scavenger hunt, a nature craft, a storyteller, an obstacle course and other fun activities.

A simple picnic lunch will be served around noon.

At 1 p.m., there will be a short program for adults, Connecting Kids with Nature. During that time, refuge volunteers will work with youngsters.

All activities will take place near the visitor center and Nature Discovery Area.
