Members of Theta Omega chapter of Phi Beta Psi sorority met at the Community Foundation of Jackson County in Seymour for their May business meeting.

President Jackie Hill was assisted by Mary Reynolds, Taryn Rockey, Alice Christopher, Dana Byrkett and Janet Cooper.

Michele Lewis and Cori Vaughn talked about the Hen and Chicks Barn Market food tent. The work schedule was reviewed.

Kalee Alberring said the June 24 Chicago bus trip had room for 13 more guests. Members were reminded to bring a door prize and a monetary amount for the goody bags given to the attendees to the next social, which is today.

Cooper told about the April basket bingo profits. Two checks totaling $5,100 were sent to the national project, cancer research. Tonya Blish was the recipient of the 50-50 proceeds amounting to more $900.

A motion was passed to send $250 to the Phi Beta Psi state organization to apply toward the scholarship fund.

Spirit Club results were revealed. Jo Pfaffenberger’s white team with 550 points edged out Reynolds’ red team with 521 points. The losing red team will host a party today. Teams were drawn for next year’s June-May Spirit Club being headed by Alberring (red) and Rachel Rust (white).

Installation of officers was conducted at the conclusion of the meeting. All incoming officers were present and presented with a carnation.

Angie Reynolds won the THETO.
