Cody Alan Deaton, 28, of Seymour passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Dec. 22, 1988, in Seymour, he was son of Stefan James Deaton and Sandra Jane Hoene, both of whom survive.

He enjoyed traveling, finance, his dog, Tobi, and living life to the fullest. His carefree attitude warmed the hearts of those around him. He worked for JPMorgan Chase, Royalty Associates and also was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Other survivors include three brothers, Roman A. Deaton, Wyatt R. Deaton and Conner A. Hoene; a sister, Mayson L. Hoene; his maternal grandfather, Steven W. West; his paternal grandfather, Glenn Deaton; and two uncles, Steve West and Eric Brandyberry.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, JoAnn Brandyberry, and his paternal grandmother, Sue Deaton.

The funeral service will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Voss & Sons Funeral Service with the Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez officiating.

Visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and a celebration of life service with memory sharing by friends and family will begin at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
