Butler University students earn honors

Two Jackson County residents were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Butler University in Indianapolis.

The students and their hometowns and fields of study are Jacob Brown of Brownstown, who is majoring in professional pharmacy, and Claire Collett of Seymour, who is in the exploratory College of Business program.

Any degree-seeking undergraduate student earning at least 12 academic hours of grade credit in a given semester may be placed on the dean’s list if the semester grade-point average is in the top 20 percent of all eligible students in that college. Courses taken under the pass/fail option do not count toward 12 academic hours of grade credit.

In the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, the top 20 percent of students in each curricular year are named to the dean’s list.
