NORTH VERNON

Louis Chandler Johnson, 78, of North Vernon died Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at his home.

Survivors include sons, David Louis (Phyllis) Roybal of Clovis, New Mexico, and Scott Johnson of North Vernon; daughters, Deborah (Harrison Combs) DeLaGarza of Houston, Texas, and Colleen Simpson and Tammy Lehman, both of North Vernon; sister, Juanita Singleton of Vernon; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his son, Doris E. Pacheco, and his son, Martin E. Johnson.

The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Mark Sorrels officiating.

Visitation will be from 3 until the time of service. Members of Matt Hester Post 2021 Veterans of Foreign Wars Post will provide military honors.

A private family committal service will be conducted Monday.
