SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A restaurant operator and a supermarket chain will sponsor the Dairy Products Building at the New York State Fair this year, after the long-time operator quit in a financial dispute with the state.

Fair officials announced Friday that Syracuse-based restaurant operator Tully’s Good Times will sponsor the Milk Bar and put its logo on the 25-cent cups of milk sold there.

Officials said Rochester-based Wegmans Food Markets will sponsor the annual butter sculpture.

The Milk Bar will be operated by three fair vendors who run other concessions.

The nonprofit NYS Dairy Exhibits ended its 60-year run at the building after Gov. Andrew Cuomo stopped it from raising the milk price from 25 to 50 cents per cup to help cover costs. The group said promised state financial assistance never materialized.
