A watercolor painting workshop in plein air will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Starve Hollow Nature Center and surrounding area, 4345 S. County Road 275W, Vallonia.

The event is supported by an Arts in the Parks grant from the Indiana Arts Commission in celebration of Indiana’s bicentennial.

Beginning and experienced artists are welcome to the free event. Registration is requested, and supplies are provided. The workshop is limited to 12 participants ages 12 and older on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The goal is for each participant to produce a painting of a natural feature found at Starve Hollow.

An open house will be from 1 to 4 p.m. with all ages invited.
