BROWNSTOWN

William H. Hampton, 68, of Brownstown, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017, at V.A. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Born Aug. 14, 1948, in Hazzard, Kentucky, he was the son of James W. Hampton and Dorthea M. Jenkins Hampton.

He was a veteran of the Marine Corps and had worked for the Kentucky government as a policy analyst. He was a Methodist by faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Ashley N. Hampton of Florida; two grandchildren; brother, James W. Hampton; sister, Faith Evelyn Hampton; and several local relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter.

The funeral will be Tuesday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown.

Visitation will begin at noon with a nephew sharing comments at 2 p.m.
