GREENWOOD, S.C. — Security footage shows two uniformed officers playing basketball in a high school gym in South Carolina.

The Index-Journal (http://bit.ly/2shokE4 ) reports that video it obtained from early Dec. 1 shows the two officers from the Abbeville Police Department playing basketball while apparently on duty.

An investigative file from the State Law Enforcement division says that one officer told another that they should go play basketball there. They later left when they received another call.

One of the officers, Zane Vickery, said that it’s not uncommon for officers to do property checks on the school between other work.

Still, Vickery resigned the department in April after he was suspended and the situation was investigated. Prosecutors said that neither officer should be charged with a crime.

Vickery is now working as an officer in the town of McCormick.
