BARBOURVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky authorities say human remains have been found on private property.

News outlets report that Kentucky State Police say they received a call from Christopher Bolton in the Hinkle community of Knox County, who said he had found partial remains on his property Sunday. Kentucky State trooper Shane Jacobs said in a news release that more human remains were located in a search by KSP and the Knox County Search and Rescue Team.

The investigation is ongoing. The Knox County Coroner was notified and the remains will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for autopsy and identification.
