BELLEVUE, Neb. — Bellevue City Council members have given one of their colleagues more time to fix up his eyesore carwash.

The Omaha World-Herald reports ( ) that the council voted Monday to give Pat Shannon until July 19 to come up with a plan and permits for the work.

A proposal before the council would have condemned the property and ordered Shannon to tear it down and clean up the site by July 14. After the meeting Shannon called the proposal a “political attack.”
