Willa Mae Norris, 83, of Venice, Fla., formerly of Seymour, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Baybreeze Nursing Home in Venice.

Born on March 22, 1934, in Greensburg, to the late, Herschel Thorpe and Bessie Mae Sylvia Thorpe.

Willa Mae retired from Ben Franklin before moving to Florida. She was also owner/operator of a beauty salon for many years. She enjoyed fishing at their cabin on White River and at their home on Grandview Lake. She also loved spending time with her grandsons.

Survivors include her daughters, Debra Sturgeon (Mike) of Eustis, FL and Denise Patrick of Venice, FL; grandson, Nathan Sturgeon of Deland, FL; and former husband, Jack Norris of Seymour. She is also survived by her sister, Christine Ogilvie of Columbus and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Patrick; brother, Herschel Thorpe and brother-in-law, Sam Ogilvie.

Services will be planned at a later date.
