ROGERS, Ark. — A city in the northwestern corner of Arkansas is in mourning after the death of a high school teacher in a Florida triple homicide in which authorities say the suspect tried to cover up the deaths with a house fire.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that Linda Woods was a teacher at Heritage High School in the Ozark Mountains city of Rogers, Arkansas. Her body, along with those of her 9-year-old nephew and her sister, Chrissy Hughes, were found in the charred ruins of the house Hughes shared with her husband, Tony Hughes.

The sheriff’s office in Brevard County, Florida, said Tony Hughes is suspected of killing the three and torching their house. Authorities are searching for him after determining initially he may not have committed suicide, as initially suspected.
