TEMPE, Ariz. — Authorities say a man’s body has been recovered from a portion of the Salt River just east of Tempe Town Lake.

Tempe police say someone spotted the body in the water about 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Detectives were called in to investigate and police dive officers worked to pull the body out of the water.

Police say it’s too early to tell if foul play was involved in the death of the man, who’s yet to be identified.

They say the man is about 25 to 35 years old and of Native American or Hispanic decent with shoulder-length hair.
