NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans police say the second of two brothers who tried to kill their relative has been arrested.

The Times-Picayune reports ( ) records show that 41-year-old Adonis “Shaddy” Dudley was booked into jail Monday night with attempted second-degree murder. According to police, Dudley shot his relative three times May 19 at a gas station.

Authorities allege the shooting occurred during an arranged meeting, as Dudley was angry with the relative after being told he had to vacate their family’s property. Police say before leaving the property Dudley spray-painted “I’m going to kill you,” on a wall.

Police say 31-year-old Donald Dudley was arrested June 5 and is accused of delivering a gun to his older brother shortly before the shooting.

It’s unclear if either brother has an attorney.
