ITHACA, N.Y. — A 45-year-old man has been charged with killing a woman whose body was found at a central New York construction site.

Police say the body of Josie Berrios was found around 7 a.m. Tuesday at an apartment building under construction in the city of Ithaca’s Collegetown neighborhood near Cornell University.

Police arrested Michael Davis, of Ithaca, late Tuesday night and charged him with second-degree murder. Investigators say Berrios and Davis had a personal relationship but didn’t provide details.

Police aren’t releasing a possible motive for the slaying.

Davis is being held in the Tompkins County Jail without bail. The district attorney’s office didn’t know if he has an attorney yet.
