PHOENIX — One person is dead following a shooting at a Phoenix home and police say an 18-year-old man who lives at the house been detained for questioning.

Police say the circumstances of the shooting early Thursday are under investigation, but there’s no immediate indication that the incident involved a burglary or forced entry.

They say a male was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name and age weren’t immediately released, but police say he could possibly be in his teens.

Police say the unidentified 18-year-old man reportedly was visibly shaken when he went to the home of neighbors after the shooting and it was the neighbors who called police.

The man is cooperating with authorities as they investigate the death.
