Sgt. Stephen Wheeles with the Indiana State Post at Versailles said shortly after 7 a.m. today that one vehicle was off the road in that area.

Wheeles, the post’s public information officer, also reported at 6:30 a.m. that U.S. 50 between Butlerville and Nebraska in far eastern Jennings County was closed because of high water. He later reported at least one lane of U.S. 50 there had reopened.

According to the weather station at Brownstown Central High School, 2.29 inches of rain has fallen in the past 24 hours with the majority falling between midnight Tuesday and 6 a.m. today.
