The Dairy Queen/Orange Julius store at 316 E. Tipton St. in Seymour recently received a PRIDE (Personal Responsibility in Delivering Excellence) Award from the Dairy Queen system for achieving a high level of cleanliness and food safety.

The award is delivered shortly after the time of the PRIDE assessment visit, which can occur any time throughout the year, according to a news release from American Dairy Queen Corp.

The Seymour location received recognition for its hard work in the form of a framed certificate with a picture of the crew working at the time of the assessment.

There are more than 6,400 Dairy Queen stores in the United States, Canada and 25 other countries. The Minneapolis, Minnesota-based company is a part of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies led by Warren Buffett.
