SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. — A man has been arrested in the shooting death of a man found in a South Carolina ditch over the weekend.

Greenville County sheriff’s deputies say 36-year-old Diderikcous Jacobi Hill of Fountain Inn has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Investigators say Diderikcous Hill shot and killed 48-year-old James Calvin Hill of Simpsonville early Saturday.

Deputies were called about a shooting early Saturday and found evidence of a shooting, but no victim.

James Hill’s body was found in a ditch in Simpsonville about five hours later. He had been shot in the head several times.

Investigators think the shooting happened in Fountain Inn.

It was not known if Diderikcous Hill has an attorney.
