A 67-year-old Crothersville man was taken to a Louisville, Kentucky, hospital after a single-vehicle wreck this afternoon near Uniontown.

Tommy Keith was traveling northbound on County Road 1300E near State Road 250 around 2:15 p.m. when for an unknown reason, his 1996 Toyota truck left the east side of the roadway and struck a utility pole before overturning, according to Indiana State Police Trooper Seth Davidson’s report.

As a result of the crash, Keith was trapped in his vehicle and had to be freed by Seymour Fire Department personnel, Davidson said.

Keith was treated at the scene by Jackson County Emergency Medical Services personnel before being flown by StatFlight helicopter to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said. His condition was unknown at press time.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
