Richard M. Lewis Jr., 67, of Nineveh passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.

Born Sept. 22, 1949, in Glasgow, Kentucky, he was the son of Richard M. Lewis Sr. and Imogene Williams Lewis, both of whom preceded him death. On July 24, 1989, in Glasgow, he married Linda G. Sage Lewis, who survives in Nineveh.

He was a 1967 graduate of Franklin Community High School and had worked as a Wonder Bread Hostess routeman. He was all about the kids in his life. He loved his kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews and enjoyed teasing all of them. He was an Indiana University basketball fan and a member of Franklin Memorial Church.

Other survivors include two children, Tracie (Scott) Lewis Lunde of Atlanta, Georgia, and Susan Lewis of Nineveh; two grandchildren, Austin Lunde of Atlanta and Trenton Smith of Nineveh; three nephews; two great-nieces; three great-nephews; a great-great-niece; and two siblings, Garry (Carol) Lewis of Monrovia  and Judy Lewis Hobson of Columbus.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Lewis Simon.

A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Crothersville Cemetery, with Pastor David Schill officiating.
