Developmental Services Inc. is conducting a free formal dance July 15 at The Commons, 300 Washington St., Columbus, for anyone with a disability who is at least 16 years of age.

Caregivers and support staff for guests also will be admitted for free.

The Hollywood Nights Formal Dance is from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature music and dancing and refreshments. All attendees can get their picture taken for free and will receive a commemorative cup.

“Even individuals who are not DSI clients are welcome to attend the Hollywood Nights dance,” said Tom Harpring, DSI communications representative. “We are expecting guests from as far away as Terre Haute, and The Commons in Columbus is a beautiful venue that can accommodate more than 600.”

He said the event also will provide opportunities for guests to meet new people and make lasting friendships.
