Library friends plan book sale

The Friends of the Jackson County Public Library used book sale will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 8 in the meeting room of the library, 303 W. Second St., Seymour.

Regular prices include adult hardback and softbound books at $1 each; children and young adult books and paperbacks are 50 cents; and DVDs are $2. During the final hour of the sale, the popular “everything-a-bag-can-hold-for-$3” is in effect.

A special Friends-only preview of the sale is from 4 to 5:30 p.m. July 7 from and 9:30 to 10 a.m. July 8.

Donations of gently used books, movies and music are welcome to help stock upcoming bimonthly sales and the ongoing sales at Seymour, Crothersville and Medora. Donations may be left at any checkout desk during library hours.

Anyone interested in becoming a Friend (or renewing membership for 2017) will find forms at the sale, at the checkout desk or online. Annual dues (January through December) are $5 for individuals, $10 for family, $25 for donor and $50 for benefactor.

The next bimonthly sale will be Sept. 9.
