CROTHERSVILLE

Christine Ann Maxie, 51, of rural Crothersville, passed away at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017.

Born June 8, 1966, in Elkhart, she was the daughter of Robert E. Butler Sr. and Mary E. Stockwell Smee, both of whom preceded her in death. On April 29, 2017, she married Brian D. Maxie, who survives in Crothersville.

She was employed at Aisin USA and previously had worked at Lon’s Donut Shop and Leroy’s Grocery. She attended Tampico Christian Church. She accepted Christ many years ago and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed flowers and fishing but most of all loved her children and grandchildren.

Other survivors include three children, David Michael Spicer of Lexington, Paul Darrell Spicer of Greensburg and Diana Marie Callie Spicer of Austin; her grandmother, Maxine Bencent of Florida; four siblings, Robert Elmer Butler Sr. of Maine, John Allen Butler of Florida, Shelia Hatman of Florida and Bruce Allen Stockwell Jr. of Florida; and two grandkids, Destiny Eileen Spicer of Crothersville and Realidy Lynn Spicer of Crothersville.

A memorial service will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Tampico Christian Church with Pastor Randy King officiating.

Adams Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Crothersville handled the arrangements, which included cremation.
