FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man has been found shot to death at an apartment complex in eastern North Carolina.

Fayetteville police told local media outlets the shooting happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Lt. Todd Joyce said a resident at the complex heard a gunshot and found the victim on the ground behind one of the buildings.

The man was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the victim was 55-year-old Robert Lee Morrison of Fayetteville.

No arrests have been made.
