Phi Beta Psi sorority business holds session

Theta Omega chapter of Phi Beta Psi sorority recently met at the Community Foundation of Jackson County in Seymour for the June business meeting before summer adjournment.

President Jackie Hill was assisted by Jan Robinson, Natasha Miller, Angela Coomler, Dana Byrkett and Janet Cooper.

Kalee Alberring reported on the bus trip to Chicago. It is sold out and ready to go.

The food tent at the Hen and Chicks Barn Market in May was reported to have made a great profit considering the washout one day of the event.

Although no local delegates were selected to attend the national convention in July in Albuquerque, New Mexico, there will be attendees at the state convention Oct. 20 and 21. Theta Alpha Upsilon, a chapter from Noblesville, will serves as hostess.

A monetary donation was given to the parents of 1-year-old Kinley Tormoehlen of Vallonia, who has a rare kidney cancer, Wilms tumor, and is undergoing treatment.

The next meeting will be a September social with hostesses Stephanee Squires-Roberts, Coomler, Michele Lewis and Jan Robinson.
