Wayne and Rita Wischmeier of Brownstown will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip planned in the future.

Wayne and the former Rita Hoevener were married July 1, 1967, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Austin.

The couple have three children, Wayne (Donna) Wischmeier Jr. of Westmoreland, Tennessee, Stephen (Beth) Wischmeier and Brian (Melissa) Bottorff, all of Seymour; and nine grandchildren.

Rita is a housewife, and Larry is a truck driver for Wischmeier Trucking.

Both are members of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sauers.
