ROBSON, W.Va. — A West Virginia man who authorities say abused his 78-year-old mother has been arrested.

News outlets report 55-year-old Craig Anthony Cottle was arrested Monday and charged with malicious abuse of an incapacitated adult with injury and domestic battery.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that deputies had found a woman bleeding extensively from wounds to her arms.

His bond is set at $10,000. It’s unclear if Cottle has a lawyer.
