Ronnie W. Wilson, 64, of Crothersville, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017, in Indianapolis.

Born Feb. 19, 1953, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he was the son of Robert George Wilson Sr. and Christeen Hardy Wilson. On April 17, 1981, in Scottsburg, he married BJ Hornsby, who survives.

He had worked for several years at Excello Shirt Factory; 19 years for the city of Seymour; 10 years for Seymour Community School Corp.; and was employed by Jay C Food Stores/Kroger for three years.

He was a member of Seymour Christian Church. He enjoyed playing softball and basketball and was very competitive. His favorite football team was the Chicago Bears. He enjoyed coaching girls softball. He also coached basketball for Seymour-Jackson and Emerson elementary schools in Seymour. He was a 1973 graduate of Seymour High School.

Other survivors include his children, Rob Wilson, Rocky (Amanda) Wilson and Melanie (Walkar) Ritz; his grandchildren, Jakeb Webber, Laini (Thomas) Helmick, Tori Baker, Zeke Wilson, Colton Ritz, Lilly Wilson, Emma Wilson, Kalyn Ritz and Eliza Wilson; his brothers, Robert “Bobby” (Becky) Wilson Jr., and Joseph (Lucinda) Wilson; sisters, Diane (Richard) Beaty, Darlene Nowling and Melvina (Dave) Bloom Sr.; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James “Jimmy” Wilson Sr.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Seymour Christian Church, with the Rev. Bill Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.
