MARYSVILLE, Wash. — A pedestrian who was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash in Marysville has died.

The pedestrian hit Thursday morning was identified as a 52-year-old Marysville man.

Authorities say life-saving procedures were performed on the victim before he was taken to the hospital, but Marysville police said later on Thursday that the man died.

Details of the crash, including the vehicle that hit the man, were not immediately available.

Police say the crash happened near the northbound ramp from Fourth Street to I-5. They say he was most likely hit while in the crosswalk.

The ramp was closed for more than two hours while detectives investigated the crash scene.
