PORTERVILLE, Calif. — A 1-year-old girl and her mother who had been reported abducted by two men, prompting an Amber Alert in three California counties, were found alive and safe late Friday night in the city, the Porterville Police Department said.

22-year-old Maria Sanchez Palomares and her 1-year-old daughter, Deleyza Ceron, were found shortly before 10 p.m. in a home near the 100 block of South E Street, the department said in a news release. The car that they were believed to have been riding was found on that block, the department added.

The California Highway Patrol said earlier Friday night that officers were searching Tulare, Kern and San Bernardino counties for the mother, child and two suspects

Police continue to look for the suspects, 20-year-old Valentin Angel Dillasenor and 40-year-old Juan Martinez.

Authorities did not reveal whether there was any previous relationship between the suspects and the victims.
