LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Indiana authorities have found the body of an 8-year-old Louisville boy in pond where he had been missing since Friday.

Shalom Lawson’s body was found around 9 a.m. Saturday in Brownsburg, Indiana. The boy was visiting relatives in the area when he went missing around 1 p.m. The Courier-Journal reports the body was autistic.

Capt. Michael Pruitt of the Wayne Township Fire Department said in a social media posting on Saturday morning that it was a “very sad scene here in Brownsburg,” when the body of Shalom was found.

Authorities conducted an extensive air and ground search for Shalom on Friday afternoon and evening, before calling it off amid stormy weather and resuming the search Saturday morning.
