Lucille Mae “Lucy” Miller, 76, of Seymour passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Seymour Crossing.

Born March 21, 1941, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Albert and Hilda Stuckwisch Tormoehlen, both of whom preceded her in death. On Aug. 18, 1973, in Seymour, she married Philip B. Miller, who preceded her in death June 29, 2014.

She was a 1959 graduate of Seymour High School and worked at Schneck Medical Center as a certified nursing assistant for 23 years before retiring in 1996. She also had been employed at Gerwin Shoe Factory and at Dicksons.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour, where she taught Sunday school for the 4- and 5-year-old class and sang in the church choir. She had a love for craftwork, including needlepoint and making pine cone wreaths.

Survivors include her sister, Hazel (Dallas) Kreinhagen; brother, Alger (Lois) Tormoehlen; brothers-in-law, Mark Herkamp and Dennis Barkes; and beloved nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Velma Herkamp and Mildred Barkes; a brother, John Tormoehlen; and two nephews.

The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez, the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, the Rev. Philip Bloch and the Rev. Alger Tormoehlen, her brother, officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at the church.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran School or the American Diabetes Foundation.
