KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A driver who injured three pedestrians by slamming her SUV into them during a fight has surrendered to police.

Knoxville Police say 21-year-old MaKayla Patrick turned herself on Saturday morning.

The News Sentinel reports Patrick has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one count of vandalism.

Knoxville Police spokesman Darrell DeBusk says Patrick was sitting in her parked car when she saw a friend of hers in a fight with another woman. She drove her car down a slope, hopped a curb and hit the two women along with a spectator with her vehicle.

DeBusk says the driver backed her car out, hit a parked car and fled the scene, and the vehicle was later found abandoned at a nearby apartment complex.
