PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia police have been trying to find whoever critically wounded a man on a bicycle who was near some children playing in a kiddie pool.

Police have yet to release the name of the 21-year-old victim who was riding his bike in the city’s Kensington section when he was shot several times about 4 p.m. Sunday.

The man was taken to Temple University Hospital.

Police Capt. George Fuchs (fyooks) says the children were about four feet away from the victim when he was shot. Luckily, none of the children were hit by the gunfire.

Police haven’t announced a motive or whether they have a suspect.
