HAMPTON, Va. — Authorities say two Virginia men have been arrested for two robberies that occurred within minutes of each other.

The Daily Press of Newport News reports 20-year-old Juwann Garrett Richardson and 18-year-old Daeron Kaleeq Moore were arrested and charged with several offenses including robbery and abduction.

Hampton police spokeswoman Ashley Jenrette says Garrett and Moore approached a 26-year-old man from behind with guns on Wednesday and started assaulting him. They took his backpack and fled.

About 10 minutes later, the pair approached a 46-year-old woman while she was checking her mail. Garrett and Moore allegedly proceeded to assault her and then take her cellphone.

It’s unclear if Garrett and Moore have lawyers.
